Construction Begins on Martin Aquatic ‘Destination Pool’ Project
The Grand Vue Park Aquatic Center in West Virginia will be transformed into a bold, resort-style poolscape.
A big splash is coming to one of West Virginia’s highest rated county parks, thanks to a Martin Aquatic-designed renovation to its aquatic center. Grand Vue Park in Moundsville, West Virginia is completely revitalizing its poolscape into a 7,500 square foot recreational pool with several family-friendly amenities. Anchored by a 21-foot-tall dual slide tower, the pool also includes a climbing wall, a lilypad rope walk, a three-sided basketball hoop and a modernized lounge deck circling the pool, further expanding the scope of amenities and activities the center can offer.
The shape of the pool also supports swimming lanes, a zero-entry section, and diving boards into an 11-foot-deep well. With space allocated for new café tables and pavilions, the capacity offered by the aquatic center has expanded, allowing for up to 600 people to occupy the area.
From ziplining and rock climbing to mini golf and now this destination swimming pool, the bold amount of entertainment options and amenities will provide guests of Grand Vue Park a fresh and invigorating vacation experience when the aquatic center reopens by Memorial Day 2023. “This is going to be an epic build for Marshall County and what we are going to build here at Grand Vue Park,” said Craig White, general manager of Grand Vue Park in an interview with the local news station.
