Thanks to his professional career experience, Martin Aquatic VP of Business Development, Matt Kent, earned a coveted spot in the 2026 membership class of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC), the leading global resource for hospitality expertise. This exclusive group maintains a select membership roster which is invitation-only, and Kent is among only 30 individuals worldwide accepted this year.

“As he has developed in his career, Matt has become a leader in the themed entertainment industry and beyond. His standing in the hospitality industry has only strengthened during his growth with us at Martin Aquatic, and we are incredibly proud for him to receive this global recognition,” said Josh Martin, president & creative director at Martin Aquatic.

ISHC is composed of individuals, not organizations, corporations, or groups. Membership in ISHC is by invitation only, and members are viewed as leaders in their respective areas of expertise.

Kent’s leadership of the Business Development team has helped launch several high profile projects over the last few years—especially those resort destinations that offer themed experiences. Martin Aquatic has performed work for some of the most recognized brands in hospitality including the Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Walt Disney World Resort, and Universal Orlando Resort, as well as project collaborations with IP licensing partners like Nickelodeon, Hasbro, Mattel, and Paramount.

“I’m honored to be inducted into this prestigious organization and to join my fellow ISHC consultants in advancing the global hospitality industry,” said Kent. “The Society’s commitment to elevating the profession through leadership and advocacy is remarkable, and I look forward to contributing a themed entertainment and aquatic leisure perspective to its work.”

In addition to bringing together members and other consultant professionals in the hospitality industry through annual events, the society also publishes ISHC CapEx, a study of capital expenditures in the hotel industry.
