Our Year in Review

It was another promising year for us here at Martin Aquatic, where we saw some amazing project openings around the world with even more developments on the boards.

One exciting announcement we had this year was the launch of Blue Mar Basins™, our new technology for multi-acre swimming amenities. With many of our Blue Mar Basins projects now in the design phase, we are looking forward to showcasing what can be engineered into some of the largest, man-made bodies of water.

For now, we invite you to take a look at some incredible projects that opened in the past year.

Iconic Resort Poolscapes

In addition to opening a family-friendly splash pad at a luxury hotel on Grand Cayman, two big poolscape projects debuted this year. First, the world’s largest Marriott in Orlando unveiled its River Falls Waterpark featuring three multi-person raft rides and a zero-entry lazy river. Second, the world’s largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas, set sail with three incredible top deck pools, waterslides and a spacious children’s wet play area.

Showstopping Water Features

We once again had the pleasure of seeing the opening of another overseas theme park nighttime spectacular, as well as a one-of-a-kind indoor show. Inside the lobby of the Galaxy Macau, a dazzling display of more than 380,000 crystals move along to music and lights while 32 dancing fountains and eight leaping water jets enhance the show.

Waterpark Additions & Renovations

In addition to supporting numerous waterparks with sitewide renovations, some of the marquee attractions we helped add this year were in two Florida parks: SeaWorld’s Aquatica and Adventure Island. At Aquatica, the transformed “Reef Plunge” added aqualucent cut-out shapes of marine life and a newly engineered run-out. Adventure Island in Tampa introduced “Rapids Racer,” the world’s first dueling saucers ride.

With exciting new projects on the horizon, we continue to be encouraged for the coming of the new year and the amazing opportunities that await. As always, we are grateful for your partnership and wish you a joyous holiday season and Happy New Year.
