Construction Administrator
Martin Aquatic is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Administrator to support our post-design services team. This role is essential in ensuring our projects are successfully executed during the construction phase, maintaining the highest standards of quality, budget, and schedule.
As a key contributor, you will work closely with designers, project managers, and engineers to help bring complex aquatic projects to life. You will be involved in reviewing construction documentation, coordinating project activities, and supporting both office and field operations. This position offers a dynamic mix of technical work, collaboration, and occasional travel to project sites across the U.S. and internationally.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and follow through on responsibilities
- Familiarity with construction processes, documentation, and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction documents, including performing take-offs
- Proficiency with computers and mobile devices, including iPads and remote work tools
- Experience with construction document management platforms (e.g. Procore, ACC) preferred
- Strong communication and coordination skills with contractors and internal teams
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior site or field experience is a plus
Responsibilities & Duties
- Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and contractor shop drawings
- Evaluate project documents for constructability prior to final submission
- Prepare field observation reports and maintain accurate submittal logs and project documentation
- Assist in developing construction cost estimates and performing quantity take-offs
- Maintain and organize project documentation within company systems
- Support the development and improvement of internal workflows to enhance team efficiency
- Manage and update Monday.com boards, assign tasks, and follow up on outstanding items
- Support equipment procurement efforts, including logistics and client communication
- Conduct on-site observations and coordinate with design teams on travel schedules
- Evaluate existing facilities and provide input on renovation or improvement opportunities
- Support project teams in maintaining alignment with design intent, schedule, and budget
- Travel locally as needed for site visits, with periodic out-of-state travel. Trips are typically 1–2 days but may extend depending on project needs
