Revit Technician

Martin Aquatic is seeking a Revit expert to join our dynamic team. This role is centered around preparing construction drawings and 3D models in Revit, with a focus on mechanical systems, architectural plans and site design projects. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five years of Revit experience, with expertise in both imperial and metric units. They will also be adept at project management within ACC/BIM360, and familiar with the creation and management of view templates. Martin Aquatic has a rich 35-year history in the design field and is known for creating world-class aquatic features. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a team of designers and engineers, working out of Orlando, Florida, on projects located both in the US and internationally.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years in Revit, with extensive experience in:
    • Family creation and management
    • Project setup within Revit
    • View Template creation and management
    • Linking external models based on project specific coordinate systems
    • BIM360/ACC project coordination and collaboration
    • Sheet work, annotation, and adherence to internal Revit standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD:
    • Knowledge of xrefs, blocks, sheetsets, mleaders, and NCS
    • Experience working in both imperial and metric unit systems
  • Must know how to use Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, & Word)
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Experience in design, drafting or engineering production for MEP systems preferred

Recommended Qualifications & Skills

  • Broader Revit expertise:
    • Experience creating native 3D models and pipe modeling
    • Ability to create families with BIM attributes
    • Project template creation and management
    • Familiarity with Dynamo scripting for automation in Revit
  • AutoCAD knowledge:
    • Experience in Architectural Design, Landscape Design and Civil engineering plans
  • Experience with:
    • Bluebeam, Dropbox, Monday.com, and other online project management software
    • Windows OS and Autodesk tools

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Utilize Revit and BIM software to create and maintain 2D and 3D drawings and visualizations of building projects for structural engineering and architectural disciplines
  • Lead Revit-based projects by creating BIM models, Custom Content, and Construction Documentation
  • Utilize ACC/BIM360 for project coordination, collaboration, and model management
  • Assist in the development and management of View Templates and Project Setup in Revit
  • Create and manage Revit Families and ensure consistency with internal standards
  • Suggest improvements to the existing standards library and workflows
  • Work closely with a team to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing projects
