Construction Administration Manager
Martin Aquatic is seeking a Construction Administration Manager to join our Post Design Services department. This role is critical in supporting the construction supervision phase of our aquatic design projects by performing periodic site observations, reviewing construction documentation submittals and RFIs, managing communications with clients and contractors, and helping ensure successful project delivery to match the engineered plans. The Construction Manager will collaborate with internal design and engineering teams, as well as external construction teams, to manage RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings. The role includes understanding of construction documents, submittal and shop drawing reviews, OAC calls, periodic on-site observations, and handling cost estimations for our aquatic construction projects. Use of tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel, and ProCore will be essential for reviewing drawings and managing project documentation.
This position requires significant travel throughout the year—up to 35–40 weeks annually, generally for 1–2 days per week during active construction periods. Travel is seasonal, based on project schedules, and includes both local and out-of-state site visits. Candidates must be flexible and comfortable with this travel. The successful candidate will be based at the company headquarters in Orlando, Florida, working alongside a team of designers and engineers while supporting projects located throughout the U.S. and occasionally abroad.

Qualifications & Skills
- 4-6+ years of experience in construction administration, preferably with a focus on aquatic construction or similar type construction
- 1-2 years of aquatic experience is desired
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Strong understanding of construction documents, including blueprints, specifications, and contracts
- Experience in reviewing RFIs and submittals and providing responses
- Ability to be a self-starter and stay on task working towards extremely quick deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong computer organizational skills in finding/sourcing/using various tools from company systems
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and construction management software
- Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam to review and mark up construction drawings
- Familiarity with Construction Management tools such as ProCore
- Self-starter who can manage a travel schedule and coordination when out of the office.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Review RFIs, Submittals, Shop drawings from contractors and provide timely responses
- Review documents prior to final submission for constructability concerns
- Creating observation reports and submittal logs
- Perform onsite observation and document construction progress
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure project success
- Maintain project files and documentation
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and contractors
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on project progress
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts that arise during construction
- Use AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam to review and mark up construction drawings
- Utilize Construction Management tools such as ProCore to manage project documentation and communication
- Provide cost estimating and budget management for aquatic construction projects
