Norwegian Cruise Line’s Great Stirrup Cay

Bahamas

Designed 2024

Opening 2026

Located in the Bahamas, Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay, is undergoing a dramatic transformation that includes adding a pier, a large leisure pool, kids splash areas, and an expansive new waterpark. Guests will soon have direct access to live “The Great Life” with a 28,000-square-foot heated pool featuring two swim-up bars and family-friendly elements. Complimentary for guests, this Great Life Lagoon is powered by Martin Aquatic’s patented system for water quality, Blue Mar Basins®. For a thrilling escape on this tropical paradise, there’s the new Great Tides Waterpark, which will be anchored by a 170-foot-tall tower with eight exciting rides including body slides, mat racers, an aquacoaster, and multi-person tube slides. The park will host photo-worthy attractions like 10- and 15-feet-tall cliff jumps (a cruise industry first) and the Caribbean’s only wide family slide, where four guests can slide down simultaneously. It will be rounded out with a kids wet play structure with various slides and an 800-foot dynamic river with an illuminated media tunnel for a multi-sensory experience.
