Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas
Miami, Florida
Designed 2018
Opened 2024
Earning recognition as the largest cruise ship in the world, Icon of the Seas is the inaugural vessel in Royal Caribbean’s newest class of ships and features an entirely unique deck plan packed with superior aquatic amenities. Breaking multiple records for “first-at-sea” elements, guests are welcomed into an experience like never before. Leisure pools, calming spas, and in-water lounge seating provide ample space for respite among the thrill of speedy slides, splash zones and surf simulators. Designed to accommodate preferences of every traveler, the ship features seven distinctively crafted pool areas throughout the expansive multi-tiered space.
The front of the ship’s AquaDome hosts spectacular acrobatic shows incorporating a 55-foot-tall waterfall. Chill Island, a destination for relaxation, encompasses three decks and features four pools: a serene adult pool, secluded infinity-edge cove, luxurious swim up bar, and large family pool. The Hideaway, a suspended infinity pool with immersed loungers, mimics a beach club vibe. For unparalleled tranquility, suite guests have access to a private pool and spa. Tiny travelers can play in two dedicated waterparks, Splashaway Bay and Baby Bay. Located adjacent is the Water’s Edge Pool to provide parents a nearby spot to rest. Towering twenty decks up, Category 6 waterpark offers two raft slides, a drop slide, a freefall slide, and duel mat racers. Aspiring surfers can test their skills on the FlowRider wave simulator.
