As Martin Aquatic recognizes its own special anniversary of 35 years in business, that means it’s also time to recognize someone who joined our founding principal a decade into his practice: Jonathan “JT” Toavs is celebrating his 25th anniversary with the company. As a Studio Director, JT has overseen some of the largest projects in Martin Aquatic’s history both domestically and internationally.

In addition, several team members have shown their dedication and commitment to the success of Martin Aquatic, and we are proud to announce their promotions thanks to their continued achievements.
• Diego Cordova has been promoted to Project Director;
• Mackenzie Campbell is becoming a Project Manager; and,
• Krista Welter is advancing as our Senior Designer and Brand Manager.

“The work of these professionals is a testament to the talented team we have here at Martin Aquatic,” said president & creative director, Josh Martin. “JT has used his decades-long tenure with us to push boundaries for what our company can accomplish, while mentoring other leaders like Diego, Mackenzie, and Krista. In their own right, they have all proven their mettle by consistently delivering amazing work for our clients.”

Diego has been serving as Martin Aquatic’s Themed Entertainment Manager, overseeing our various work on some of the most iconic attractions and shows at theme parks around the world. In his new role as Project Director, he will continue to focus on themed entertainment while also adding new responsibilities for taking our conceptual projects through to design development.

Mackenzie will also be joining our client services department as a Project Manager. Marking her five-year anniversary with Martin Aquatic this year as well, she will be managing projects under our studio directors. Previously, Mackenzie had been overseeing our Construction Administration efforts, which gives her a wealth of experience in serving the needs of our clients in ensuring fully buildable aquatic features.

Finally, Krista is being promoted as a Senior Designer and Brand Manager in recognition of her tremendous work leading our creative efforts. Krista’s management of our external brand—through award-winning tradeshow designs, company marketing materials, and client communication—has taken Martin Aquatic to new heights.

Please join us in congratulating this amazing group of individuals that we are proud to include in our Martin Aquatic family!
