Concept Design

Defining the Site
Initially, our creative studio guides the owners and project team through a process that defines the site layout and identifies the amenities in the development.
Through several design iterations, this phase can include the following tasks:
- Research and trends in aquatics
- Waterpark masterplanning
- Attraction selection
- Capacity modeling/ Bubble diagrams
- Pathway design
- Utility placeholders

Ensuring Constructability
Our engineering expertise ripples through this early design phase as we determine how conceptual plans will physically operate while also adhering to aquatic code requirements.
At the same time, our relationships with manufacturers and distributors offer owners early estimates to ensure their project stays on budget with equipment that can be delivered in the construction schedule.
As our concept design phase continues, these tasks can include:
- Aquatic feature sizing
- Waterslide path, colors, and effects
- Fountain nozzle options
- Equipment costing and budgeting
- Procurement strategy
- Initial code review

Envisioning the Project
As the site layout is finalized and the plan view transitions from simple line drawings to colored plans and finally computer-generated renderings, we provide clients with a fully realized concept.
This phase concludes with tasks including:
