Kannapolis Downtown's arc tunnel lit up at night with purple-blue LEDs

Located in a suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina, the City of Kannapolis is undergoing a $30 million revitalization to its downtown core, featuring a plan to build more pedestrian-friendly areas and public greenspaces. The new streetscape includes a series of water features that engage passersby, with the signature fountain designed to bring people into the feature. Stretching nearly 30 feet long, this feature boasts 30 angled clear-stream nozzles that spray in a 12-foot-tall arc, creating a tunnel of water for guests to be fully immersed in the fountain. At night, the color-changing LED lights illuminate the streams for a dazzling and inviting feature that anchors the new downtown district. This interactive fountain is another addition to Martin Aquatic’s large portfolio of projects.
